A robust data warehouse and Business Intelligence implemented at Kiambu

Kiambu County is a former administrative district in the old Central Province of Kenya, comprising 12 constituencies and 60 county assembly wards.
Business Challenge
Kiambu county’s reporting systems had various limitations which restricted the modern reporting needs.
Challenges
- Central reporting environment was not available to report across all sub-counties.
- Users, executives, chief officers relied on the physical system or PC to access reports.
- Access to the reports were restricted based on the county and not available outside the county premises.
- Huge manual work was involved in consolidating the reports from all sub-counties to provide a summarized financial report.
- Automated reporting functionalities were not available; such as automated email distribution.
